# Distributed Bilevel Framework for Macroscopic Multi-Agent Optimization
## Overview
Novel distributed algorithm for optimizing emergent macroscopic behavior of large-scale multi-agent systems via microscopic actions. Cast as a bilevel optimization problem with hypergradient-based distributed updates.
## Problem Statement
**Challenge**: Coordinate local agent behaviors to achieve desired global (macroscopic) outcomes in large-scale multi-agent systems (100+ agents).
